Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones BhaShaVox uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.

Today we use only cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to run the Services, plus storage that remembers your preferences. We do not currently use advertising, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics cookies, so no consent banner is shown. Payment and sign-in partners may set their own strictly necessary cookies when you use checkout or federated sign-in; those are described in section 5.

If that changes, we will update this policy and — where the law requires consent, including in the EEA and the UK — ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set. We will not rely on your continued use of the site as consent for such cookies.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and operate securely.

We also use similar browser technologies for the same purposes, including local storage and session storage, which hold small amounts of data in your browser rather than sending it with each request. Where this policy refers to cookies, it includes these technologies.

• Strictly necessary — authentication and session security, protection against cross-site request forgery, load balancing, and core site functionality. These are set without consent because the Services cannot function without them, and they cannot be switched off in the product.
• Functional and preference — remembering your interface language, label language, theme, and similar settings so the product behaves the way you left it. These are set only in response to choices you make.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, retargeting, social media, or cross-context behavioural tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share cookie data.

The following are set by BhaShaVox on our own domain. Preference items may be stored as cookies or in browser storage (local storage or session storage); we list them here because they serve the same purpose.

• auth-token — signed authentication token used to keep you signed in and authorise API requests. Category: strictly necessary. First-party cookie. Duration: 12 hours of inactivity (refreshed while you remain active), or until you sign out.
• auth-uid — your account identifier, paired with the auth token so the site can restore your session. Category: strictly necessary. First-party cookie. Duration: 12 hours of inactivity (refreshed while you remain active), or until you sign out.
• sidebar_state — remembers whether the product sidebar is expanded or collapsed. Category: preference. First-party cookie. Duration: 7 days.
• Label and interface language — remembers the language you chose for the interface. Category: preference. Stored in browser storage until you change it, sign out of the session, or clear browser data.
• Theme and display settings — remembers light or dark mode and related display preferences. Category: preference. Stored in browser storage until you change it or clear browser data.
• Other interface preferences — source and target languages, and in-product layout preferences for features such as voice call and video meet. Category: preference. Stored in browser storage for the session or until you clear browser data.

Signing out clears the auth cookies. Clearing your browser data removes preference settings as well. We do not currently set analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.

We keep third-party cookies to a minimum. A third party may set a cookie in these limited situations:

• Payments — when you go through checkout, our payment partner may set cookies needed to process the transaction securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by that provider's own privacy and cookie policies.
• Social or federated sign-in — if you choose to sign in with a third-party identity provider, that provider may set cookies as part of authenticating you.
• Embedded content — where we embed third-party media, that provider may set cookies when the content loads.

We do not permit third parties to use cookies set through our Services for advertising or cross-site profiling.

You can control cookies in several ways:

• Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. See your browser's help pages for instructions.
• Device settings — mobile operating systems may let you limit tracking or reset advertising identifiers.
• Sign out — clears the session cookies tied to your account.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using key features. Blocking preference storage means the product will not remember your language or theme.

Session cookies expire when you close your browser or sign out. Authentication tokens expire automatically after a limited period and are refreshed while you remain active. Preference values stored in browser storage persist until you change the setting, the session ends, or you clear your browser data. Section 4 sets out the duration for each item we set.

We will update this Cookie Policy when our practices or legal requirements change — in particular before introducing any analytics or marketing technology. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
